lengthening mascaras
I have to share my secrets of my two favourite mascaras that do exactly what most girls want- give us lovely looooooonnnnnnnggggggg lashes.
This is really good ladies, i mean really good, it does what it says it does- creates falsies on those lashes of yours. I like it as it does not clump, and does not flake. It can however smudge slightly if you live in a hot country but remove it from under your eyes then it should dry and no longer "weep". The brush is of medium size and is curved which helps lift I find.
Pros:
-Good lift with the curved brush
-creates lovely long lashes in just two thin coats
- it is so reasonably priced we can all get hot eyes
Cons:
- It can smudge under the eyes a little if you are wearing a foundation
- I have found another than lengthens more.........
The overall best is YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils
YSL
This mascara I think is perfect it really is lenghtening. You pay for the best.
YSL Touche Eclat Foundation
Ahhhhhhhh I got it a few months back and I love this foundation almost as much as the original Touche Eclat pen. Its good for my skin, which is dry, so good you could almost get away with applying it without moisterising prior.
It covers pretty well, however if you have skin that needs a heavy coverage it wont be for you (although you could try using on top of a bb cream. Its illunimating and I managed to get a good shade for my skin, which was a bit lucky as I ordered it online having not being able to try any samples.
As a side note it smells so yummy, kind of watermeloney! I would recommend it to those who can afford it, those who cannot, this one is kind of similar but not quite as perfect.
The pros:
-No caking
-Illuminating
- Great for dry skin
- Fresh looking
The cons:
-Its not cheap!
-Not for those after a heavy coverage
(no 7 Protect and Perfect Foundation)

Duraline from Inglot
I got this item from Inglot and it is pretty good. It is a liquid that you mix with powdered eye shadow or blush, glitter, or anything else in powdered form. Once mixed that cosmetic too will be liquid based and we know the benefits for liquid based shadow and blush, it glides on with ease and most often make the colour more vivid. When I used my shadow it was much longer lasting than it would usually be and so I have to say its a good little product.
Inglot
So if you didnt know I actually live in Malta now. I miss MAC! There is not one here but I have found a similar store here which is also a worldwide store called INGLOT. Love the name! Anyway so it is set up similar with a range that has some simularities. The staff are helpful.
I went in to spoil myself for my birthday (the big 3-0)and find a new look that matched my new outfit, again going for something different i went for lime green! My eyes were drawn to pots of iridescent glittery eye shadows. A magpie to sparkly things I decided to get one that on first instant looks green but from certain angles is much more purplely! That is perfect as purple goes well with green eyes and the green shimmer that would show up at times would go with the dress too.
The duraline, which I shall talk about in more detail another time was good too and would be used with the eyeshadow.
I was recommended a pink lipstick as what would most suit my skin and hair type (pale and blonde). I never wear pink lipstick, well not all out pink but yeah ones with undertones etc sure I have. I purchased it following the expertise advice but I am still not convinced. In the end I did wear the eye shadow but steered away from the lipstick as it looked a bit 60s on me i felt! As it happened a friend gave me a lipstick as a present and so it all worked out.
That night I was lucky enough to have a talented friend from the UK over who is a make up artist who did my eye make up. I finished the look with the nude lipstick and a clear gloss and lots of illuminating base on the face. This was the finished look, bear in mind it was a bit into the night.
What do you think? Are you blonde and pale and rocking the pink lipstick? Do you like Inglot?

A Stila beauty must for those cheeks
I was sooo excited when last year i heard Stila was back to the UK, you can get it in some Boots and on Asos.com and many other places I am sure. One of my prized make up items is the versatile colour compact, "convertible color". This is a lovely blusher and also a dab on the lips is great too. Well worth the price tag of around £16. An award winning cream blush.

YSL Touche Eclat

I cannot rave enough about this product. It is indispensable to my make up kit. If you are out of time when doing your make up, just two clicks and apply this to the face- it is unbelievable under the eyes- this place is its forte. I also dot a bit on any blemishes or red marks.
I give it 5 out of 5 as it is highly effective

Dior DiorShow Waterproof mascara

So Ive tried Diorshow waterproof mascara for my holiday and unfortunately it is not for me. I have read other reviews which state that it is a bit dry. I have found this too and also it is not very lenghthening like most mascaras out there at the moment. I had to apply many layers to have an effect and the effect was just a clumpy one. Spider legs anyone?
Out of five I would give it a 2.
